What is IEEEXtreme?

IEEEXtreme is a global challenge in which teams of IEEE Student members – advised and proctored by an IEEE member, and often supported by an IEEE Student Branch – compete in a 24-hour time span against each other to solve a set of programming problems.

First Place

Cover a trip to the IEEE conference of your choice, anywhere in the world.

  • Roundtrip coach airline tickets for each winner from winner’s preferred major metropolitan airport to the conference destination.

  • conference registration fees

  • three-night hotel stay in a standard room will be provided by IEEE for each winning team member.

** Alternatives can be provided should travel be restricted.

Second Place

Each member of the team that wins 2nd place in the IEEEXtreme 18.0 competition will receive a US$400 cash award!

Third Place

Each member of the team that wins 3rd place in the IEEEXtreme 18.0 competition will receive a US$300 cash award!

4th – 10th Place

Each member of teams that place 4th through 10th globally will receive a special IEEEXtreme merchandise bundle

11th – 100th Place

All members of teams that place 11th – 100th globally will receive IEEEXtreme merchandise bundles

All Participants

Members of any team that scores 1 point or higher in the competition will be able to download certificates of participation.

Sponsor makes no warranties or disclaimers concerning the prizes beyond those customarily given by the manufacturer of the prizes.
