REGISTRATION TIPS

HOW TO PREPARE FOR IEEEXTREME ?

1. Gather your team

Up to 3 IEEE student member may compete together

2. Locate your proctor

Proctors should be an IEEE member of higher membership grade (not an undergraduate or Graduate Student member). Student Branch Counselors, Department Chairs, or IEEE Young Professionals members make great proctors.

3. Practice, practice, practice

Visit our practice community with challenges from previous Xtreme competitions.

STEPS TO REGISTER AS A PARTICIPANT

1. Open the vTools Registration Platform

2. Login with your IEEE account.

If you are not a member of IEEE, JOIN TODAY https://www.ieee.org/membership/join/index.html

3. Fill the below information:

Team Name, School, Country, Zip Code, Specify the details of each team member (max 3)

HELP FINDING A PROCTOR:

Upon registering within vTools you will enter your student branch.
If a proctor has pre-registered, choose a name from the drop-down list of Proctors.
If one does not pre-populate, you may enter the membership number of a proctor you have identified.
If you are unable to find one follow these steps:

HELP FINDING A PROCTOR:

1. Check the list of proctors

Check the list of registered proctors and their universities/colleges and check if you have your University name there.

2. reach out to region leads

directly reach out to region leads to get the contact details and connect with a registered proctor. (see the list in here)

REGISTERING AS A PROCTOR:

If you are not able to find a Proctor, you may request someone to register as a Proctor.
Proctors must be an IEEE Member of higher membership grade.
Student or Graduate Student Members are not allowed to proctor, but are encouraged to participate as a team member in the competition.

1. Open proctor eligibility and requirements page and click on Register Now.

3. Select “Proctors”

4. Enter your membership number

5. Select the school / university you will be available to proctor at.
